NOVAZOON Innovation Day in Stuttgart – our innovative community in exchange

Last week we had a great exchange with many members of our community from industry, business and digital business as part of our NOVAZOON Innovation Day in Stuttgart.

In a relaxed atmosphere, we not only discussed current challenges of the digital transformation of leading industrial and service companies, but also actively worked on new business ideas and cooperation approaches.

In the World Café format, we focused on sustainable innovation in established companies, with the focus on (constantly) reinventing your own company and learning from the community’s innovative approaches.

As part of the keynote program, Michael Kimmig, Program Manager Fast.Forward.Digital, Grenke AG , and our Managing Director Bastian Deck showed the main challenges of digital transformation in their companies and gave exciting insights into solution approaches, methods and modern forms of organization.
Many thanks again for your input!

Key learnings from the event :

  • Nowadays there is no lack of ideas or innovative expansion approaches for traditional business models, but the experience, especially in the implementation of digital business models, is not sufficiently developed.
  • A flexible form of organization and an open mindset practiced “from the top” are required in order to establish sustainable change and the innovation culture associated with it.
  • Companies are opening up to open innovation and cooperation approaches in order to address future business potential – this is increasingly happening in joint ventures and mergers across company boundaries.

The digital excellence conference, inviting for the 8th time, focuses on the new values and places the focus on people. A diverse event format with practical knowledge, interactions and workshops provides orientation and turns the day into an experience. The program inspires to experience as many sessions as possible from numerous digital areas.

The Design Offices, which specialize in New Work, create a creative environment for networking on six floors.

We are participating in the program with an exciting work session and look forward to an interactive day with exciting input.

NOVAZOON as a companion to a scientific work as part of the lecture “Industrial Concept Development” with the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, at the MMT faculty

As part of the “Industrial Concept Development” lecture at the MMT faculty of the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, the mechatronics students Leonard Rempel and Mario Stolz are working on a scientific paper in the “Health Tech area”.

The app connects various data source systems with each other in order to generate new medical knowledge from the data obtained.
This knowledge is used to support patients in the healing process.


The aim here is to relieve medical facilities.

The focus of the work is on research into the connection of various wearables such as smartwatches or chest straps as well as medical devices such as blood pressure monitors.
Here it is necessary to transfer the data obtained and to apply further processing with the help of artificial intelligence.

 

Another part of the work is the development of concrete possible solutions for the connection of selected data sources.

We look forward to working with the students at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and are excited to see the results.

When was the last time you worked on and challenged your business model?

Last Wednesday we took the time to review, analyze and update our own business model. We are continuously developing our status and have established a 3-month cycle for this. In this way, we ensure that we always reflect on current developments and process them as part of a business model analysis.

For a long time we have all been able to come together and take part in the workshop personally. Finally gummy bears, biscuits and chocolate to share in the innovation work again!

You voted – Hybrid is the future

We would like to thank all of you who took part in the survey regarding the future of workshop formats for innovation projects.

The result is clear: 74% of you see the future of innovation and collaboration as a hybrid solution of face-to-face meetings and online formats!

Interesting: You don’t see a future in “digital only” – in other words, nobody in our innovative industry wants purely virtual work.
Prefers face-to-face work/ face-to-face workshops comes second with 26%.

Working in person, meeting and discussing offers many advantages and strengthens group dynamics. At the same time, the hybrid variant offers many new possibilities and is an enrichment for all of us. That’s why we are also a “fan of the perfect mix” and prefer the hybrid variant in our company.
