NOVAZOON Insights – Brownbag Session at Microsoft Build Germany 2023

It was a very exciting and inspiring day for our colleagues Marcel Dietz, Florian Balb and Tobias Blattner, who recently visited the Microsoft Build in Munich!

They took away exciting new insights about Microsoft’s current technological developments and presented them to our team in a brownbag session.

The event was packed with groundbreaking innovations and technologies that inspired us. Our colleagues shared insights and use cases into some of the many Microsoft products.

The Data-Lake OneLake offers in our technology projects and the users the possibility to store, manage and analyze very large amounts of data efficiently.

Combined with the capabilities of Azure OpenAI, new use cases will emerge on a wide variety of data sources and formats, such as chatbots that are easy for end users to use, to meet individual business transformation needs. With personalized interactions, companies will thus be able to understand their employees’ individual requirements even better in the future and offer more effective solutions and processes.

Additional potential lies in the applications of Cognitive Search, an intelligent search for unstructured data sources. This technology gives us access to corporate data of all kinds and structures, enabling us to make informed decisions faster.

At NOVAZOON we attach great importance to the exchange of knowledge within our team. This not only promotes the individual learning process, but also strengthens our skills to develop innovative technological solutions tailored to our customers!

What an exciting business festival! NOVAZOON represented at hub.Berlin 2023

Our colleagues Marcel Dietz and Marius Zimmermann took part in hub.berlin – The business festival for tech and digitalization and were able to take away some great ideas. The event featured a wealth of exciting keynotes, start-up pitches and deep-dive masterclasses. Two topics in particular have dominated:

• The Industrial Metaverse describes the holistic linking of the digital world with the real world in an industrial context. The following key technologies will be linked: Digital Twins, Internet of Things, Edge & Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented & Virtual Reality, High Speed Network Infrastructure and Blockchain. The areas of application range from virtual employee training to the simulation and optimization of complex production processes, which can result in significant time and resource savings.

• Artificial intelligence has long since reached our everyday lives and, at the latest with the spread of ChatGPT & Co, the topic has also arrived in all areas of our working world. At hub.Berlin, exciting use cases were discussed and innovative AI start-ups were presented. Many conversations have confirmed that the successful use of AI requires both strategic control at the management level and operational enablement at the employee level.

NOVAZOON is part of the Digitalization Tour BW

Nowadays, as well as in the future, new products have to be produced more efficiently, more flexibly and in a more individualized way. Digitization can make a decisive contribution to overcoming this challenge. With the help of suitable methods, hardware and software, companies can face the change in work culture and position themselves strongly in the competition.

In order to present new ideas to SMEs in particular and to promote exchange, CODE_n/de:hub future.industries has initiated the Digitalization Tour BW 2023 together with bwcon, the Alliance Industry 4.0 Baden-Württemberg, Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Augsburg, and the local location partners.

The aim of the Digitalization Tour BW 2023 is to reach local companies and help secure the future of their locations. A mix of hands-on workshops and presentations, as well as demonstrators to touch, is therefore intended to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by digitization.

We are very pleased that we will be part of the Digitalization Tour BW and that our part on 18.07. will be a part of it. in Breisach and on 21.07. will be on site in Constance.

Everything as a Service: How the smart servitization of business models succeeds as an extension of the core business

Our participants of the NOVAZOON Innovation Day 2023 dealt with this question in a work session.

Servitization stands out both in science and in corporate practice as a concept that can fundamentally change the product understanding and business model of manufacturing companies in particular. In practice, numerous companies have already successfully adapted their existing business model to changing conditions by means of servitization.

In the worksession, we focused on the key building blocks of servitization:

• Strategy & Awareness
• Customer Centricity
• Technology Enablement
• Skills & Methods

The topic was discussed intensively and met with great interest among the participants. In particular, it was discussed which approaches can be used to successfully transfer “servitization” into practice in order to sustainably complement established business models.

According to our knowledge and experience, one of the main challenges is the cultural change from product sales to a service company. In order for this cultural change to succeed, it is necessary that a clear strategic orientation towards servitization is undertaken by senior management. How successfully a servitization of the product range can be carried out depends above all on customer centricity, technology enablement and a methodical approach to service development.
